Newquay Towan Blystra Lions have unveiled a clever new product, designed to help those who struggle with mobility in their hands and wrists.
The “Plugster®” is a simple device, which can be attached to an electrical appliance plug. When wrapped around, they form a strong handle which makes it easier to pull the plug out of the socket.
Lions President Phil Bunt said: “It’s a clever invention, and we are glad to offer it as part of our support to the local community, and in helping to make people’s lives a little bit easier.
“These are designed for both young and old people, that may suffer from arthritis or other conditions, that make it hard to safely pull the plugs out when they have finished with the appliance. You can watch a video about how they work on our website”
Newquay Towan Blystra Lions are offering these Plugsters® for free to people in Newquay, and the surrounding communities. Numbers are limited, so are currently restricted to four per household.
