Newquay Towan Blystra Lions Club paid a visit to Newquay W.I during one of their regular meetings, to help spread the word about “Message in a bottle”. The initiative, which has been adopted by Lions Clubs across the Country is a simple idea designed to encourage people to keep their personal and medical details on a standard form and in a common location - the Fridge. Whilst it is focused on the more vulnerable people in the community, anyone can have an accident at home, so this scheme can benefit young and old, vunerable or active alike.
Lion Hillary Smith gave a full presentation at the meeting, and also distributed a number of free ‘bottles’ to the members to use.
