Despite being the youngest club in the South West, Newquay Towan Blystra  Lions are celebrating after picking up a top award at the  organisation’s annual convention. The event, held in March see all the South West International Lions Clubs gather at the Imperial Hotel in Torquay. At this Convention Newquay Towan  Blystra Lions were presented with The Ray Hill Award for Administration. The  President Lesley Clarke was presented the award, on behalf of the club, by the  District Governor Lion Neil Rutter of Seaton, Devon and the International 2nd  Vice President Lion Wayne Madden of Auburn, Indiana, USA. Afterwards Lesley  said, “I was very honoured to be presented with this award for the club,  especially being the newest club in the district, only two years old, and   top club in the south west district with regards their administration. This has  shown that we have very keen and committed members and the officers of the club  make sure that all our club paperwork is sent in on time”
